September
Sept 5, 19, 26 - Sacraments Class (see below)
Sept 15 - FEAST begins!
Sacraments Class Coming in September!
The Sacraments Class is designed for children in 3rd-5th grade and their parents to help them better understand the two sacraments recognized by Presbyterians: baptism and communion. The next class will be offered on Sunday mornings, September 5, 19 and 26.
Baptism will be discussed the first week to help children appreciate the sacrament undertaken by their parents on their behalf and help them look forward to the day they will confirm this baptism. For children who have not been baptized, the importance of baptism will be discussed.
The second week the children and their parents will learn about communion. They will begin with the Passover and look at God‘s faithfulness through the years. The final week will look at the Apostle‘s Creed. Session recommends that parents wait until after their children have attended this class to allow their children to participate in Communion during worship services. If children have attended, they are certainly welcome to come again. If you have questions, please contact the church office. (949-8366)
